GOOD TO KNOW
Frequently asked questions
About your knives, everyday use and cleaning your board.
My plastic board has deep grooves. What exactly am I changing?
You replace one visibly worn plastic surface in your daily routine. This does not remove every source of microplastics from your life and is not a health promise. The practical change is specific: you no longer use an increasingly scored plastic board for this chopping task.
Will a metal board dull my knives?
We do not yet have an independent before-and-after knife sharpness test for this board. We therefore do not promise that your knives will stay sharp longer. For delicate or very finely ground knives, use the cutting surface recommended by the knife manufacturer.
Does the board slide or make a lot of noise?
Metal sounds different from wood or plastic. Your worktop, cutting pressure and moisture beneath the board also have an effect. Place the board on a flat, stable surface and check that it is secure before cutting.
How can I check the material?
The material report button above opens the available supplier report, accompanied by a Dutch reading translation. It describes the composition of one supplied sample. Its scope and limitations are stated alongside it.
Is cleaning really easier than with wood or scored plastic?
Wash the board after use with warm water and washing-up liquid, then dry it. Use separate cutting areas for raw and prepared ingredients. Follow the instructions for your model regarding dishwasher use.
Will it stay scratch-free? What if I do not like the feel?
No, a cutting board will show use. Fine marks may become visible. We assess flatness, stability, cleaning and function rather than whether it stays showroom-new. Read the return terms before buying for the time limit, required product condition and steps. The written terms take precedence.
THE EVERYDAY DILEMMA
Worn plastic or the upkeep of wood?
Wooden cutting boards
After washing, wood needs to dry completely, especially after preparing meat, fish or chicken.
Handwashing, regular checks and occasional oiling become part of the routine.
Plastic cutting boards
Knife marks build up into grooves that remain visible and noticeable after washing.
Worn plastic can release microplastics. The amount and any health effects cannot be determined from a single board.
Choose a titanium cutting surface in place of plastic.
FROM PREP TO CLEAN-UP
No plastic cutting surface.
Replace your plastic cutting surface with titanium. The V2 combines brushed metal, a raised edge and an integrated handle. For those who choose carefully what touches fresh ingredients.

1. Choose your size
Start with the space on your worktop and what you often prepare. A quick lunch needs a different setup from a full meal.
2. Give everything its place
Keep raw and prepared ingredients separate. Multiple boards let you keep different chopping tasks apart.
3. Finish with care
Wash and dry the board after cooking. Follow the care instructions for your model.
