CLARITY BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Frequently asked questions
CUTTING BOARDS
Questions about making the switch
Why should I replace my plastic cutting board?
You give your ingredients care. Give the surface you prepare them on the same attention. Deep grooves and damage make a board harder to keep clean. Check your board regularly and replace it when it is worn.
Is this board really made of titanium?
The available supplier report describes the composition of one submitted titanium cutting board sample. It does not certify every version or batch. You can view the original report and our explanation under material information. Want to know more about a particular board? Ask us before ordering.
Will a metal cutting board dull my knife?
That depends on the knife, the hardness and finish of the board, and your cutting technique. The available material report does not examine knife sharpness. We therefore cannot promise that a metal board will never dull your knife. Ask us for advice if you use a particular or expensive knife.
Will the board develop scratches or signs of use?
Yes, cutting can leave visible marks. Check the surface regularly for damage or sharp edges. Normal signs of use do not exclude you from the 100-day trial.
Will the board slide or make a lot of noise?
The surface underneath and the type of knife affect grip and sound. Place your board securely on a flat, clean worktop and use a suitable non-slip mat if needed. Stop cutting if the board moves.
How do I clean the board?
Wash the board after use with warm water and washing-up liquid, rinse thoroughly and let it dry. Use separate, clean work surfaces for raw meat and other ingredients. Follow the care instructions for your version regarding dishwasher use.
Why not simply choose wood?
Wood can be a good choice. It needs careful drying and, depending on the version, regular maintenance. Choose the material that suits your knives and kitchen, and keep every board clean.
PANS & COOKWARE SETS
Considered cooking starts with your pan
Which pan or set suits me?
Start with what you actually cook, how many people you cook for and your heat source. Then compare diameter, capacity, weight, construction, handle and care. A large set offers value only if you use its pieces.
Is the pan suitable for induction?
Check the specifications for the exact product. Induction compatibility depends on the base construction; we do not infer it from the material name alone.
Is the pan non-stick and toxin-free?
“Non-stick” and “toxin-free” are too broad without exact material and coating information. We describe the construction, any coating, temperature limits and recommended use once those details are confirmed. Cooking results also depend on preheating, fat, temperature and technique.
How do I prevent sticking and discolouration?
Use an appropriate heat setting, give the pan time to warm evenly and do not force food loose before it releases naturally. Let the pan cool before cleaning. Always follow the care instructions for your specific product.
